Los Angeles based designers, Canadian natives and twin brothers, Chip and Pepper Foster, made a special appearance at the opening of their pop-up shop on Friday in Toronto’s historical Distillery District.

The energetic duo greeted fans, friends and media while showing off exclusive items from their Chip & Pepper Wet Wear collection, which was created for the Toronto surf-inspired pop-up shop, as well as some favourites. Happy to be back in the city where they grew up, they joked about their favourite thing in Toronto… Tim Hortons!

The two have had such a success with their pop-up shops in Hollywood, Vancouver, Kenora and Winnipeg that they expect to draw in a slew of shoppers this holiday season. The shop will be open until December 31st, just enough time for last minute Christmas shoppers and Boxing Day.

“The new Chip and Pepper Wet Wear collection consists of fresh California bleeds with Rasta colors in tees, hoodies, thermals, sweatpants for men, women and kids,” said Chip Foster.  “Shoppers will enjoy knowing they are getting clothes, either for themselves or for gifts, which will not be available anywhere else.”

The shop was designed by Arlene Pastor, co-founder/Owner of Lileo Boutique. The pop-up shop is in collaboration with the neighbouring boutique.

“Its mega surf theme is designed to appeal to the surfer of any age,” said Pastor.  “[The] colorful, practical and comfortable clothing will offer the look that carries a fashionista through the many activities of daily living…  It is a concept not to be missed.”
