Last year I was all about fun in the sun.
Well, my nails were. I found and subsequently fell in love with Shorty Pants by Essie, a sunny shade of yellow nail polish that became my signature summer colour. In fact, I loved my golden glow so much that I continued to bust it out all year long to add a dose of cheer to the dreary winter months.
I’ll pretty much try anything when it comes to nail polish, from a midnight Black Satin to a fuchsia Koala Berry. But lately I’ve been looking for something new, something I haven’t seen before.
Well, my prayers were answered at Chanel Fall 2009 (a girl can always count on Karl to put a little magic in her life). The collection was mostly black and white (tres chic) with pops of soft pink and green. But my favourite accents were the mint green manicures. They were a great way to add some girly drama to an otherwise sophisticated palette.
So I’ve decided that pastel digits are the perfect next step in my polish evolution. I just can’t believe I’ll have to wait until fall. Better get on that waiting list now!
